I warped my perception a thousand times,

Excusing every slight as life’s cruel designs.

Told myself it wasn’t them, just pressure and strain—

But the truth was written in every refrain.

When someone shows you exactly who they are,

And what your worth looks like from afar,

Stop justifying, stop trying to stay—

Believe what you see, and simply walk away
