Repeating the past

It’s best not to react, to let them be,

Their choices will find them, inevitably.

I’m just so tired of the same refrain—

Same souls, new bodies, the outcome the same.

In each new chapter, they come disguised,

Different faces, but the truth’s revised.

I’m worn from chasing illusions they cast;

All ends the same, repeating the past.
